Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PHC collects, why, who can see it, and how you stop us. It is written to Lebanese Law 81/2018 on electronic transactions and personal data.

What we collect

Your name, date of birth, sex, phone number, address and emergency contacts; a photograph and an identity document where you give them; your PHC Card number; what you paid and when; and the health information a doctor or pharmacy records during your care.

Why we hold it

To issue and run your PHC Card, to let a clinic or pharmacy see your record when you allow it, to send you the messages described below, and to keep the accounts the law requires us to keep.

Messages you receive

If you give us a phone number or an email address, we may use them to send you: receipts and confirmations for things you asked for, your PHC Card status, appointment and renewal reminders, and details of training you registered for. We send by WhatsApp, SMS or email.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any SMS to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. You can also write to hello@phccard.com at any time.

You are never required to agree to messages in order to use PHC or to buy anything from us.

Who can see your record

A clinic or pharmacy sees your health record only after you allow it, with your Card PIN, for a limited time and a limited scope. Emergency access exists for when you cannot answer; it is limited, recorded, and reviewed by the PHC office afterwards. Every single view is written to an activity log with the name of the person who looked, and you can see that list yourself.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with: the clinic or pharmacy you have allowed, the companies that carry our messages and email on our behalf, and any authority that compels us under Lebanese law.

Your rights

You may ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to withdraw a consent you gave, and to stop receiving messages. Write to hello@phccard.com and we will answer. Some records we must keep for a period set by law even after you ask us to stop messaging you.

Keeping it safe

The protections in place — sign-in, encryption, the Action PIN, consent before any clinic sees your record, the watermark on identity documents, and an activity log that cannot be quietly rewritten — are set out in full in the Terms of Service.

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people whose job needs it, important actions require a personal PIN, and the activity log cannot be altered after the fact.
